Carl worked for a number of years in Africa (Madagascar) during the construction, start‑up and commissioning phases of a large-scale mining project and deep water port. His role led him to develop and manage major service contracts, and to train and coach company and supplier employees who reported to him.
Upon his return to Canada, Carl accepted a position with an operational excellence group in the capacity of Lean facilitator. His primary mandate was to gradually implement Lean culture and select Lean management tools with a view to fostering continuous improvement and enhanced productivity at various processing plants.
For over ten years, Carl worked as a manager in the retail and logistics sectors of industry. He also worked for an SME specializing in the design and custom production of signage systems for chain stores in Canada and the United States.
Carl has a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Université de Sherbrooke, a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Relations from Université Laval, and a master’s degree in Project Management from Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières.
Carl’s listening skills and respect for the individual enable him to develop meaningful bonds with colleagues and friends. He is perceived by his peers as a passionate, reliable individual for whom work is about a balanced mix of professionalism and pleasure.
Carl engages in a range of sporting activities: skiing, tennis, golf, cycling, swimming, etc. He loves to travel, play the guitar and spend quality time with his family.
